These terms are between you and Karter Labs LLC ("Karter," "we," or "us"). They apply to Karter's website and app. By creating an account or using Karter, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Agreement to these terms does not grant consent for optional analytics; that choice is made separately.
What Karter provides
Karter offers guided breathing, reflection, attention exercises, a focus timer, and progress views. It is a practice tool, not medical care, therapy, a diagnostic service, or a promise of improved health or performance. If you have a health concern, consult a qualified professional.
Accounts and eligibility
Karter is not intended for children under 13. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your sign-in credentials secure, and telling us promptly if you believe someone accessed your account without permission. You are responsible for activity under your account unless applicable law says otherwise.
Acceptable use
Use Karter lawfully and respectfully. Do not interfere with the service, probe or bypass its security, access another person's account or data, upload harmful code, or use automated methods that disrupt the service. We may restrict access when reasonably needed to protect users, the service, or legal rights.
Your content and data
You keep ownership of the goals, answers, and other material you enter. You give Karter permission to host, process, and display that material only as needed to provide the service and as described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete your account as described on our Delete Account page.
Our content
Karter's software, design, branding, and other service content belong to Karter Labs LLC or its licensors. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service while you follow these terms. This does not transfer ownership of our content to you.
Availability and changes
We may update, pause, or discontinue features to improve or maintain the service. We will try to give reasonable notice of material changes when practical. We cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free access. Features may differ between the website and any future mobile apps.
Price and third-party services
Karter is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features, we will show the price and applicable terms before a purchase. Karter uses third-party services for hosting, email, and analytics as described in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Your use of an app store may also be subject to that provider's terms.
Ending your use
You may stop using Karter at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate an account if it materially violates these terms, creates a security risk, or if required by law. We will provide notice when reasonable and permitted. Rights and obligations that by their nature should continue, such as ownership and responsibility for past conduct, continue after termination.
Responsibility and limits
Karter is provided on an "as available" basis. To the extent allowed by applicable law, we do not make guarantees about specific results or uninterrupted operation. To the extent allowed by applicable law, Karter Labs LLC is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Wyoming law, United States, except where mandatory law in your place of residence gives you additional protections. If a dispute arises, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. These terms do not prevent you from bringing a claim in a court or forum available to you under applicable law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new date here and give additional notice when a change materially affects your rights. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
